My name is Marta, and I’m currently a senior. My favorite subject in school is literature and social studies, although before I started high school it was math and science.When I was little my parents traveled a lot and spent a lot of time working, so I spent my childhood back and forth in America/Poland/Russia, living with either my parents or my grandparents.  I have absolutely no clue what I want to do with my life, but I know that I don’t want to sit at a desk all day and be bored out of my mind just to earn money. My best friend is my 5 year old dog named Teddy, who weighs about 15 pounds but is the most vicious dog I’ve ever met. I’ve been a vegetarian for the past 5 years, and I love animals. Although I really don’t know what I want to do in the future, I hope it has something to do with animals. Through sociology, I hope to learn more about the actions of the people around me, as well as what drives our society to behave in the way we do, and why we justify the inequalities that occur around us.
